Westfield Milano will be home to more than 300 stores, a Luxury Village featuring 50 luxury retailers, cinemas and leisure facilities, 50 restaurants and 10,000 parking spaces, all accompanied by the very latest in technology, innovative customer services and tourism services.
Westfield Milano will be anchored by Galeries Lafayette, France’s largest department store, which will open a 18,000 sq m flagship– its first store in Italy. Galeries Lafayette’s decision to anchor the new development is testimony to the strength of the Westfield Milano proposition, and to the city’s iconic status as a world centre for luxury and fashion.
Westfield Milano represents a major opportunity for new retailers. The retail spend per capita ranks amongst the highest across Europe, yet there is an undersupply of shopping centres above 60,000 sq m. The total trade area is over 6.9 million residents with a total annual retail spend of €54 billion. It is anticipated that Westfield Milano will generate €.1.3 billion in retail sales.
